Since 1974, Ann Smith has been helping families and individuals
find a healthier way of life. Smith is licensed in marriage and family therapy and a licensed professional counselor. She is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and author of the books "Grandchildren of Alcoholics: Another Generation of Codependency" and "Overcoming Perfectionism: the Key to a Balanced Recovery." On campus full time, Ann is involved in every aspect of the program and oversees daily operations.

Breakthrough at Caron has a full time staff of therapists trained in family systems, group therapy and experiential techniques such as psychodrama, gestalt therapy and family sculpture, and most have a strong background in addictions and other compulsive disorders.  Among their credentials are master's-level licensed therapists, certified addiction counselors, certified sexual addiction specialists and certified experiential therapists.
